Třebívlice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Třebívlice reveals its historic character particularly around the chateau: Třebívlice Chateau, with its English-style park, is an important part of the historic town centre. Its current Neoclassical appearance was completed in 1837.

Culture and local history

A permanent exhibition about Ulrika von Levetzow is housed in the former residence of the chateau gardener. It focuses on the baroness’s life and her relationship with J. W. Goethe. Ulrika von Levetzow spent almost her entire life at the Třebívlice estate.

The square in Třebívlice is home to a Baroque chapel with a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1731. The originally Gothic Church of St. Wenceslas was converted to the Baroque style by around 1720. Its tower was built in 1695 by the Italian architect P. Versa, who came from Litoměřice. Next to the church stands the granary, the oldest surviving building in Třebívlice. Čechův mlýn Mill has also been rebuilt in its original style. The Baroque rectory bears a Lobkowicz coat of arms and dates from 1787.

Wine and living traditions

The Johann W winery builds on the centuries-old tradition of Litoměřice wines. In Třebívlice, its wine bar also offers guided wine tastings. The local events calendar also includes the annual Václavská pouť pilgrimage; Třebívlické kulturní léto is also developing into a tradition.
