Kundratice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kundratice reveals its unique character through its well-preserved townscape and its history as an excursion destination: Villa Julia Lippert dates from 1884, and half-timbered and log buildings have also been preserved. Since the mid-19th century, Kundratice developed into a climatic resort.

Culture and Townscape

In the eastern part of Kundratice village square stand the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk and a stone cross with a cast-iron corpus Christi. In the upper part of Kundratice, Villa Jindřiška welcomed its first guests in 1867 as a guesthouse with a restaurant and was also used as an air spa. An Empire-style forester’s lodge has also been preserved there. In the lower part of the village, former farmsteads with barns have been preserved.

Landscape and Views

Near Kundratice lies Varhošť, a 639 m-high, forested basalt mountain. A lookout tower stands on its summit, offering views of the Bohemian Central Uplands. From the lookout tower, the course of the Elbe can be seen at eight points.

Paths and Routes

An 8 km hiking route from Litoměřice to Varhošť leads from the upper railway station along the green-marked route through Miřejovice, Hlinná and Kundratice. In Kundratice, at the junction with the yellow-marked route, it continues uphill along a road to the saddle below Varhošť and then on to the summit.

Road III/24719 connects Miřejovice, Hlinná, Kundratice and Čeřeniště. Cycle route 3057 branches off south of Hlinná from the cadastral area of Kamýk onto road III/24719 and continues north along it.
