Winter and Exercise
When snow conditions are suitable, a cross-country ski trail several kilometres long runs from the local ski area via Kašparova chata and back. In good snow conditions, the cross-country ski trails and routes around České Petrovice cover more than 35 km.
Nature
The Království přírodních sil educational trail has six stations, is approximately 700 m long and has an elevation difference of 100 m. It ends at the Amálka lookout tower. The tower stands near the upper end of a ski slope on the northern slope of the 765 m-high Mount Adam. From the lookout tower, visitors can enjoy views of the Orlické Mountains and Poland.
The Zemská brána nature reserve is primarily accessible to visitors via a blue-marked hiking trail along the Wild Eagle River; an educational trail follows the same route.
The mountains of Sikornik, Vysoký Kámen, Sieniec and Urwista are located in the surroundings of Petrovice.
History and Culture
The K-S 46 “V zátiší” infantry bunker offers guided tours featuring reconstructed rooms, historical weapons, documents and uniforms. It was built as part of the line of heavy fortifications on the then border between Czechoslovakia and Germany. From České Petrovice, the infantry bunker can first be reached via a paved road and then via a dirt track.
In the wider regional surroundings of Petrovice are Gorzanów - Pałac Castle, Trzebieszowice Castle and the Nový Hrad ruins.
