Syrovín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the southern edge of Syrovín stands the Chapel of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows. It dates from 1888 and is listed as a cultural monument.

Culture and Local History

The Church of the Conversion of St. Paul is an architecturally valuable Baroque building in a prominent location. It was built between 1713 and 1716 at the expense of the Syrovín priest Pavel Jaroš.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes, dating from 1940, stands on the road to Újezdec. Opposite the municipal office, a restored 1899 fire engine is displayed in a glass case.

Wine and Events

Viticulture in Syrovín has attracted the attention of local residents since the beginning of the 17th century. Currently, mainly Burgundské šedé, white varieties, and Ryzlink are grown on an area of 32 hectares.

The marked Bzenecká wine route passes through Újezdec, Syrovín, and Těmice.

Císařské hody takes place every year on the third Saturday and Sunday in October. The Sunday programme includes a festive Mass in the local church.

Hrad Buchlov is a castle in the vicinity of Syrovín. Záhumenice [Hostějov] is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Syrovín.

The mountains Rozštípená skála, Ocásek, and Holý Kopec are also located in the vicinity of Syrovín.
