Kyjov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kyjov combines Renaissance architecture, wine, folklore and a variety of trails. Kyjov Town Hall is a Renaissance building dating from 1561–1562. Kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie is a former Capuchin monastery church from the 18th century. The Vlastivědné muzeum Kyjov is located in a Renaissance chateau in the city centre.

Culture and Tradition

Recurring cultural events include Slovácký rok, a folklore festival held once every four years. Jízda králů is a horse-riding procession and a tradition on the UNESCO list, which can be seen in the Kyjov programme once every four years.

Wine and Cellars

The Slovácká galerie vín regularly hosts tastings of wines from local winemakers. Vinné sklepy na Šištótě comprises several wine cellars with press houses and decorated entrance façades. These wine cellars are open to visitors during the Otevřené sklepy Kyjovska event.

Activities in Kyjov

Lesopark U Vodojemu has a walking and jogging loop, a disc golf course, a short singletrack and a pump track. Aquapark Kyjov offers an indoor swimming pool with five lanes. The Zaniklou železnící Mutěnka cycle route runs between Mutěnice and Kyjov. In addition, the Kyjov Information Centre has prepared a photography trail that starts and ends there.
