Studnice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Studnice is located in the southwestern part of the Drahanská vrchovina Highlands. The hiking trail “In Search of the Legends of the Drahanská vrchovina” begins in the village square and is approximately 6.4 km long. A total of 12 information boards, designed as wooden sculptures, are placed along the trail.
Trails and Landscape
Away from the main roads, Studnice can also be reached via a cycle path that passes the ruins of Kuchlov and Stagnov castles. Below Studnice, in the direction of Kulířov, the Studnické louky nature reserve is located near the locality of Pod Fasůvkou.
The nature reserve protects wet meadow communities in a stream valley where protected plant species occur. The protected habitat also includes a meandering stream and its bank vegetation.
Nature in Odrůvky
The Odrůvky wetlands are located near the municipality of Studnice. Visitors can observe carp, grass carp, wild geese, and other animal and plant species there. In the Odrůvky district of the municipality of Studnice, revitalized wetlands and an orchard provide a habitat for numerous animals and serve as a popular place for walks and relaxation.
Church and History
The tower of the Church of St. Giles houses a death bell dating from 1552. In front of the Church of St. Giles in Studnice stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1831. Studnice is also home to an altarpiece depicting Saint Giles, painted by Josef Hellich of Prague in 1854.
The war memorial in Studnice was restored in 2017 in cooperation with the Mechlov association.
