Nesovice lies on the northern edge of Ždánický les Nature Park and stretches along the Litava River.
Culture and History
Construction of Nové Zámky Château in Nesovice began in 1561 under its then owner, Záviš z Víckova. The château was built according to plans by an unknown Italian architect but was never completed. Of the planned four-wing château, only the northern and eastern sections remain; it was looted and damaged in 1645.
The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Nesovice was consecrated in September 1936 and houses an old statue of the saint that was moved here from a demolished chapel. Pavel Jan Křtitel Souček was a patron of the chapel’s construction. Below Nesovice Château, the Chapel of Saint Anthony was converted from a bell tower in 1912. In the Letošov district of Nesovice, there is a small Chapel of the Virgin Mary dating from 1921.

The Malhotky National Nature Monument is located in the immediate surroundings west of Nesovice. It protects dry grasslands, thermophilous oak forests, and habitats of rare orchid species, including the purple orchid and the military orchid.
