Ruprechtov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

On the outskirts of Ruprechtov stands a windmill with a unique Halladay turbine. It is a technical cultural monument and was built in 1873 as a Dutch-style mill.

Culture and History

From October to April, guided tours of the windmill can be arranged for groups of 10 or more people. The Church of Saint Wenceslas is also one of the town’s notable cultural sites: it contains three frescoes created by the Brno artist Ludvík Kolek in 1963 and was consecrated on 28 September 1946.

Another protected cultural monument is the thatched-roof cottage dating from 1813. It is accessible during events or by prior arrangement by telephone.

Near Hradiště Černov, remains of fortification ramparts and ditches have been preserved. The Hradiště Černov oppidum lies between Račice, Ježkovice and Ruprechtov in the Rakovecké údolí Nature Park. Hamlíkov is an abandoned village 1 km northeast of Ruprechtov.

Nature

The Rakovecké údolí Nature Park lies west of Ruprechtov. The floodplains of the Rakovec stream are protected in the Rakovecké stráně a údolí bledulí Nature Reserve; in spring, large stands of protected snowflakes bloom there.

The U Tří smrků meadow lies in the cadastral area of Ruprechtov amid forests consisting predominantly of spruce and beech trees. Three monumental spruces stand in the meadow.

Cycle Route No. 5072 from Kuchlov to Habrovany passes through Ruprechtov. In the immediate vicinity of Ruprechtov, Kuchlov is considered a ruin, as is Hrádek. Kuchlov [Ruprechtov] is also considered a hill in the immediate vicinity of Ruprechtov.
