Culture

The bell tower in Tučapy originally had two bells. The original old municipal office was located in the right half of the present-day inn. From 1869, the building next to this municipal office housed a school; after the new school was built, it became the municipal office and has served this function to this day. The coat of arms of the Diocese of Olomouc is also still located on the wall of the present-day inn.

The new two-class school building in Tučapy was built between 1884 and 1886 and, following minor alterations, has essentially continued to serve its purpose to this day. Jaroslav Kratochvíl, who was a historian and artist, is also associated with Tučapy. He was born on 17 January 1885 in Tučapy near Vyškov in Moravia.

Nature and Trails

In the vicinity of Tučapy, the Luleč Educational Trail features 22 information boards; the entire route takes no more than four hours on foot. There is also a magnificent viewpoint near the Luleč Educational Trail in the vicinity of Tučapy, from which Nemojany, Tučapy and Komořany can be seen.

An official cycling route runs through Komořany, Tučapy and Nemojany. The event “In the Footsteps of Carnival Traditions” included a walking route through Tučapy from house number 187 to house number 90 and took place from 5 to 18 February 2024.

Local Life

The “Pod lípou” inn in Tučapy has a bar, around 60 seats and a garden. The Tučapy Municipal Library provides rooms for meetings of small groups. At the GulášFest in Tučapy, goulash dishes were judged and then sold.
