Bohdalice-Pavlovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

History is visible in Bohdalice-Pavlovice in various ways. The Tomáš E. Müller Museum currently presents exhibitions about the legionnaires from Bohdalice and the surrounding area, as well as about women in the 1st Czechoslovak Army Corps.

Culture and History

Bohdalický zámek is a Neoclassical building from the first quarter of the 19th century, standing on the original site of a Renaissance fortress. It is used as a school and is normally not open to the public. In Manerov, the Chapel of St. Francis is one of the oldest surviving monuments in the district.

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bohdalice-Pavlovice is a Neoclassical building with late Baroque elements, constructed from 1807 to 1814. The crypt of the Manner family is located beneath its presbytery. The grounds include a Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from the early 18th century and a stone cross from 1845. A pilgrimage to the Assumption of Mary takes place at the parish church on 15 August.

The Carské slavnosti take place in Bohdalice every two years in November. The programme includes a historical reenactment, a military camp, battle demonstrations and a presentation of historical costumes.

Nature and Trails

The Pahorek Nature Monument is located nearby, east of Manerov. It protects heat-loving Pontic-Pannonian plant communities and wild animals, especially amphibians.

The Ve Žlebcách Nature Reserve lies east of Pavlovice. Its original mix of deciduous forests and various herbs offers paths for walks. The mixed forest is home to Turk's cap lilies, lungwort and wildflowers, as well as common toads. A blue-marked hiking trail also passes through Pavlovice.
