Kožušice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Podsedky nature reserve is located in the cadastral area of Kožušice. It covers 2.29 hectares and was first designated on 13 November 2002. The reserve protects fragments of the steppe vegetation of the Arrhenatherion and Bromion erecti alliances, as well as specially protected plants.

The Strabišov-Oulehla European protected area includes the cadastral area of Kožušice. Protected species include the lady's-slipper orchid (Cypripedium calceolus). Strabišov-Oulehla also protects semi-natural dry grasslands and shrub formations on calcareous soils, as well as oak-hornbeam forests and Euro-Siberian steppe oak forests.

Culture and history

The monument to those who fell in the First World War in Kožušice was ceremonially unveiled on 5 July 1934.

Kožušice has a small chapel dedicated to Saint Florian. It was built in 1875 after a devastating fire in which 29 houses burned down and was dedicated to the patron saint of firefighters.

The surroundings of Kožušice include Hrad Buchlov Castle and the mountains of Hradisko, Ocásek, Rozštípená skála and Holý Kopec.
