Milonice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Milonice is first mentioned in documents dating from 1349. The history of the village therefore reaches far back and can be seen in specific architectural and landscape features.

Culture and History

The present-day Church of St. Peter and Paul was built at the request of Alois Josef, Count of Kolowrat, after he judged the former church to be too small for the needs of the parish during a general visitation in 1803. It was built between 1805 and 1807 in place of an older church that stood in today’s rectory garden, and was consecrated in 1810.

Landscape and Cycle Route

Marked cycle route 5029 runs through Milonice along the excursion route from Nesovice railway station towards Vyškov; beyond there, it branches off towards Uhřice.

The protected area of Černecký and Milonický hájek comprises semi-natural dry grasslands and shrub facies on calcareous substrates, Pannonian oak-hornbeam forests, and Eurosiberian steppe oak forests. The mountains of Hradisko, Radlovec, Rozštípená skála and Urban are located in the vicinity of Milonice.

In the wider regional surroundings of Milonice are Hrad Buchlov Castle, the ruins of Hrádek and Kuchlov, and Milotice Chateau Park.
