Culture and History

Habrovany Castle was remodeled in the Empire style in the first half of the 19th century and integrated into a park; it is a defining feature of the townscape. At the western edge of the village stands the Church of the Most Holy Trinity and Saints Simon and Jude, with its cemetery, on a slight elevation. It is surrounded by an enclosing wall, was extended in 1730, and fitted with a vault. In front of the church stands a late Baroque stone statue of Saint Florian dating from 1791.

Historical landmarks can also be found in the surrounding area: the ruins of Kuchlov and Hrádek are located near Habrovany. The Pomník obětem 1. světové války memorial is located in the wider regional area.

Park and Events

The castle park in Habrovany is open year-round, around the clock. Admission is free; visits are at your own risk. At the same time, the park is a quiet zone intended to provide visitors with rest and relaxation.

Nature and Landscape

The castle park features several dendrological rarities. Panská skála is an abandoned, flooded quarry and serves as a refuge for amphibians.

Luleč Hill is located in the immediate vicinity of Habrovany. The surrounding area also includes Urban Mountain and Stádla Mountain. Radlovec Mountain is located in the wider regional area of Habrovany.
