Přibice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Přibice is situated on a terrace above the Jihlava River.

Culture and History

The Church of St. John the Baptist in Přibice was built in the Romanesque style and is one of the oldest churches in Moravia. Beneath its sacristy is an ossuary dating from the 14th century that has survived to this day. An inscription in the church has still not been deciphered; its language is also unknown.

On the southern side of the park in front of the church stands a statue of St. John of Nepomuk. It was erected in 1768 and extensively restored in 2011.

According to local tradition, the Slavic apostles Cyril and Methodius drank from the spring at Apoštolka while travelling through Moravia.

Nature and Landscape

Remnants of floodplain forests have been preserved in the Přibice floodplain. The Mušovský luh Natura 2000 site is also mentioned in connection with Přibice. It is home to eutrophic waters, floodplain forests and species such as the Eurasian otter.
