Stanoviště: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Activities

The multi-purpose sports ground in Stanoviště is available to the general public for tennis, floorball, nohejbal and volleyball. Cycle route No. 5170 from Velká Bíteš to Moravský Krumlov also runs through the municipality.

History

Visible remains of human dwellings have survived to this day at the former settlement site of Stará Stanoviště. Pottery is also part of the local history: historically, it was the most successful craft in Stanoviště, but it died out around the middle of the 19th century. Local deposits of high-quality pottery clay supported the pottery tradition; the clay was also exported to the surrounding area.

The bell tower of Stanoviště features vernacular Baroque-inspired forms and an octagonal ground plan. Its octagonal tent roof has an open octagonal lantern topped with an onion dome.

Nature

The Stanovišťské rybníčky consist of two lakes with lush wetland vegetation. The Stanovišťské rybníčky protected area lies within the cadastral territory of the municipality of Stanoviště.

The Stanovišťský mokřad covers approximately one hectare and features waterlogged soils and wetland plants. The Stanovišťské rybníčky are home to populations of green newt and short-legged frog; both are classified as critically endangered. There are also more than 20 species of dragonflies and damselflies.
