Holasice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Holasice is located in the Dyje–Svratka Valley near Rajhrad. The Chapel of St. Wenceslas is registered as an immovable cultural monument, and the historical development of Holasice is connected with the Benedictine monastery in Rajhrad.

Culture and history

The so-called Holasice Lochy are underground, unlined passageways and rooms. Historians date their origin to the 13th century; they are not accessible.

In the wider regional surroundings of Holasice are the ruins of Dívčí Hrady and the ruins of Tempelštejn.

Landscape

The Vinohrady mountain is located near Holasice. The Pizoňky hill near Syrovice is in the immediate surroundings. In the wider regional surroundings are Nedánov mountain and Leskoun mountain.

Routes and traditions

The Way of St. James leads from the monastery along a red-marked trail through an avenue to Holasice. At a chapel in Holasice, there is a pilgrim stamp station on the Way of St. James. On its section through Holasice, the Way of St. James passes the Ludmily pond site and continues towards Vojkovice.

The Václavské hody festival has traditionally been celebrated in Holasice for many years, usually on the last weekend in September.

Activities and surroundings

At the Holasice shooting range, shotgun shooting practice is possible in the Trap and Skeet disciplines; archery and air rifle shooting are also available there by arrangement. Company events featuring shooting demonstrations, instruction, and a shooting competition with David Kostelecký can also be organized there.

The sady Osvobození park is located near Holasice. Brno Zoo is located in the wider regional surroundings of Holasice.
