Střelice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Church of the Holy Trinity is the oldest building in Střelice. Its five-sided chancel forms an original Gothic chapel; two bricked-up Gothic vaults in the southern wall attest to its medieval origins. The west tower contains a rectangular entrance portal with a profiled stone surround. Inside is a Baroque altar from the second half of the 18th century, whose altarpiece was painted by Josef Stern.

Střelice railway station provides step-free access to all platforms, is located on railway lines 240 and 244, and is integrated into the integrated transport system.

Culture

The Střelické muzeum displays objects and artefacts from former everyday life in a rural setting. Its collections consist mainly of donations from residents of Střelice and include clothing, tools, equipment, dishes and toys. The museum also documents the history of Střelice’s architectural development. Mladé hody and Staré hody are among the traditional events in Střelice. The Zvonička commemorates the killing of residents of Střelice during the Thirty Years’ War.

Nature

Střelická bažinka is a natural monument covering approximately four hectares that was designated in 1980. As a peat bog, it lies in the floodplain of the Bobrava stream. It comprises wetland communities with reed beds and an adjacent beech stand; the crested newt (Triturus cristatus) and the fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina) occur there. The smooth newt and the critically endangered crested newt also regularly reproduce in Střelická bažinka. In spring, numerous frogs can be observed returning to its banks to reproduce.

Střelický les is a protected natural area designated in 1980 and is among the richest sites for the protected white dittany plant (Dictamnus albus L.).

Leisure

The POD LESEM pump track is a dirt track for bicycles with dirt jumps as well as wooden and mobile obstacles. As an artificially constructed circuit, it is ridden without pedalling; it consists of rollers and berms and is used to practise bicycle control and balance.
