Hlína: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The “Around the Birthplaces of A. Mucha and V. Menšík” hiking route includes Hlína as one of its important stops. The 22-metre-high Vladimír Menšík Lookout Tower stands near Hlína. From its viewing platform, you can look out over the Pavlov Hills.

Nature

Part of the Hlína area extends into Bobrava Nature Park, which has a dense network of hiking trails. Hlína is also located along hiking trails in the Bučína forest complex. A signposted local cycling route runs through Hlína.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Kunhuta is the oldest building in Hlína and is also a Baroque church dating from 1771. Inside, there is a late Gothic wood carving of Saint Catherine from the end of the 15th century. Next to the church stands a small Calvary group from 1877.

Tradition and Theatre

The traditional Rozmarýnové hody celebrations under the maypole take place on the penultimate Sunday in August. The Forest Theatre in Hlína prepares exactly one production each year; the open-air amphitheatre has a capacity of more than 1,000 people.
