Rohozec: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In the historic center of Rohozec stands the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius, built in 1861. Its three-tiered tower is noteworthy; in front of the chapel there is also a stone cross with the crucified Christ. On July 5, the feast day of Saints Cyril and Methodius, a local pilgrimage takes place in Rohozec.
Nature
The Svídovec nature monument is located in the southwestern part of the cadastral territory. Field margins and old agricultural terraces have been preserved on its southern slopes. The landscape also includes the Rohozecký mokřad wetland, with five ponds and wet meadows along a small stream. It lies about 300 meters southwest of the built-up area.
History and Village Layout
Rohozec was established through medieval colonization as a circular village. The former farmsteads were arranged around the village green, thereby shaping the historic settlement pattern of the village.
Cycling and Hiking
Marked cycle route 1 runs through Rohozec along road III/37913. A locally signposted connection branches off from this marked cycle route and leads to Hradčany and Malhostovice, preferably away from the roads. The Železné výhledy cycling tour offers views over Unín, Rohozec, Bukovice, and Rašov.
A green-marked hiking trail runs along the western edge of the cadastral territory on the Tišnov–Železné–Jamné–Rašov route.
Sports and Events
Rohozec's sports complex includes a volleyball court, a small football pitch, and a children's playground. Social and cultural events are held outdoors at the sports complex next to the fire water reservoir.
