Židlochovice: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The Výhon Nature Park covers the entire Výhon massif, spanning approximately 1,700 hectares, and extends across the cadastral areas of Blučina, Židlochovice and Nosislav. It was established in 2002.

Nature and Views

The Krajinou Výhonu educational trail provides information about geology, flora, fauna, palaeontology, archaeological finds and the relationship between people and the landscape through a series of information panels. The Výhon is home to the Akátová věž Výhon, a lookout tower built in 2009 from concrete, metal and acacia wood. The tower is accessible free of charge around the clock; access by car is prohibited.

Cycling and Leisure

The long-distance Brno–Vienna cycle route passes through the cadastral area of Židlochovice along Masarykova Street and the square. It then continues along the river via a footbridge on a dedicated cycle path.

Culture and History

The Church of the Elevation of the Holy Cross was built between 1724 and 1730 according to plans by the Viennese Baroque architect J. L. Hildebrandt. Židlochovice Castle is not open to the public, while the adjacent castle park is publicly accessible.

Wine and Information

Židlochovice Town Hall houses a Regional Tourist Information Centre with a vinotheque and an accessible historic cellar, which is used, among other things, to present local winemaking traditions. RTIC Židlochovice sells tourist and wine-related maps for the Židlochovicko region.

Swimming

The municipal outdoor swimming pool in Židlochovice has a 50-metre pool for swimmers.
