Vranov: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The present-day Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is a Baroque church whose construction began in the first half of the 17th century on the site of a church dating from 1240.

Culture and pilgrimage

The church contains a family crypt of the Liechtenstein family, built in the first half of the 19th century. The pilgrimage church was associated with a monastery of the Order of Saint Francis of Paola and a large monastery garden. The Sedmiradostná cesta pilgrimage route leads from Lelekovice to Vranov.

Forest and trails

Vranov u Brna is located within the Vranovské lesy forests. The Babí lom ridge is considered a major attraction in the Vranovské lesy. The Ponávka Valley is also considered a major attraction there.

The Pivní stezka Petra Bezruče cycle path runs through Vranov u Brna between Brno-Řečkovice and Černá Hora. The Pivní stezka Petra Bezruče is approximately 28 kilometres long and leads mainly through the forests around Vranov and Černá Hora. It runs on paved and gravel paths and largely away from road traffic.

The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary can be reached via bus routes 41 and 57 at the “Vranov, křižovatka” stop. There is a car park at the church.
