Pasohlávky can be explored through specific places, routes and facilities that bring together history, nature, activity and warm water.
Culture and History
At the Mušov Visitor Centre, multimedia presentations and traditional display cases containing archaeological finds illustrate the historical circumstances surrounding the construction of the Roman fortress at Hradisko near Mušov, as well as archaeological traces of the Roman presence in this area.
The Mušov Visitor Centre’s year-round programme of themed events includes the Roman-Barbarian festival Germania subacta, which takes place every year on the first weekend of September. From the visitor centre, you can also follow the “Mušov – Gateway to the Roman Empire” educational trail, which leads to the most important archaeological sites at Hradisko.
From Pasohlávky, the Mušov Visitor Centre can be reached via the local road towards ATC Merkur Pasohlávky and Aqualand Moravia.
Nature and Routes
The Věstonická nádrž educational trail begins at the Pasohlávky–Mušov dam and runs along the middle Novomlýnská Reservoir, which is an important bird sanctuary.
Cycling
The 1.7 km promenade connects the municipality of Pasohlávky with the ATC Merkur campsite and the lagoons of the Horní Novomlýnské Reservoir. It is intended for pedestrians, cyclists and inline skaters.
The almost 170 km Brno–Vienna cycle route also passes through Pasohlávky. It runs away from heavily trafficked roads along separate cycle paths or low-traffic Class III roads.
Thermal Water and Sauna
Aqualand Moravia in Pasohlávky fills most of its indoor and outdoor pools with natural water from a thermal borehole; this borehole has been recognised as a natural healing spring. Aqualand Moravia offers 20 water slides and a sauna world with treatments.
The water in Aqualand Moravia’s outdoor Riviéra pool is also over 30°C warm in winter.
