Železné: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Železné can be discovered through blacksmithing, a themed educational trail and the landscape around Hradisko. There are also events for different age groups, as well as destinations in the surrounding area and the wider region.

Culture and Experiences

At the recurring event “Železo v Železném, aneb setkání kovářů u piva”, visitors can watch blacksmiths at work. At the festival, adults and children can also try their hand at blacksmithing, wood carving or wirework under the guidance of experienced masters and take home a handmade souvenir.

The traditional Inspiro MTB Cup for children up to the age of 14 takes place on a grassy area along a cycle path behind the town in the direction of Železné.

Nature

The “Cesta ráčka Železníka nejen za železem” educational trail uses embedded interactive panels that provide information about the local biocentre and the fauna and flora found there. Along the route, carved and forged elements depict local animals, plants and features of the surrounding nature; there are also rest areas and benches.

Below Hradisko is the local Hradisko biocentre. On the slopes of Hradisko are the remains of two former quarries where crystalline limestone was once extracted. Species-rich thermophilous grassland and herbaceous vegetation predominates on Hradisko.

Paní hora is located in the immediate surroundings of Železné. Střela, Zlobica and Sýkoř are located in the vicinity of Železné.

Železné is served by bus routes with frequent connections. The town is 2 km from Tišnov; Tišnov is connected to Brno by train and bus services.
