The church dates back to 1937. A cemetery borders it; two commemorative lime trees, each around 300 years old, also stand nearby.

The Antonínský Kros is a recurring cross-country race. The 10th edition will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the sports grounds of the municipality of Kuřimská Nová Ves. Its main course runs along forest and field roads or trails and features 117 m of elevation gain. Various cultural events take place at the sports grounds of Kuřimská Nová Ves in summer.

Nature and Landscape

The Pláně natural monument lies in the cadastral area of Kuřimská Nová Ves and is classified as IUCN Category IV – an area for the management of habitats and species. Protected and endangered plant and animal species, nearly all typical meadow species, and numerous juniper trees can be found in Pláně.

In good visibility, views extend across the surrounding area.
