Lesní Hluboké: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lesní Hluboké combines a rural aristocratic ensemble, distinctive landscape features and a hiking trail through the valley of the Bílý potok. Lesní Hluboké Chateau, a late Baroque residence of Rajhrad Monastery, was built as a hunting lodge in 1770. Together with the Chapel of St Anne and an enclosed garden, it forms a rural aristocratic ensemble used for recreation.

Culture and History

The chapel is a listed monument dating from 1776. It has a circular floor plan with a cylindrical nave, a set-back presbytery and an entrance vestibule. At the entrance gate to the chateau stands the torso of an old lime tree, estimated to be 300 to 400 years old.

Near Lesní Hluboké lies the Devět Křížů hill [Lesní Hluboké]. Devět Křížů consists of nine wooden crosses and commemorates a tragic massacre of wedding guests in 1540.

Landscape and Trails

The Duforty, Koní hora and Víckov mountains lie in the vicinity of Lesní Hluboké. The Údolím Bílého potoka hiking trail begins in Lesní Hluboké and follows the yellow trail markings via Radoškov to Pavlovcovův mlýn. It then continues along the blue trail markings to Šmelcovna.

Transport Connections

Lesní Hluboké is located at the Křížů motorway junction 9, at exit 168, less than 25 kilometres from Brno in the direction of the D1 motorway from Brno to Prague. The village is served by the Integrated Transport System. In connection with transport access, railway connections in Rosice and Brno, as well as Vlkov railway station in the neighbouring Vysočina Region, are mentioned.
