Jiříkovice stretches across a broad valley on the right bank of the Roketnice stream.

Landscape

At the entrance to the Loučky landscape area, there is a forest park with climbing equipment for children and seating. The Loučky landscape segment is protected and features original fruit trees, shrub vegetation, flowering plants, and remnants of pollard willows. In summer, the Grunty reservoir is used for swimming.

A yellow-marked hiking trail runs through Jiříkovice. The “Red Trail of Emperor Alexander” passes through the village between Blažovice and the Grunty pond. The cycling loop over the battlefield of Slavkov also leads northwards to Jiříkovice.

History

The Battle of Slavkov educational trail includes the PS23 Jiříkovice observation point on cycle route 5131. From this observation point, you can overlook the central and northern parts of the Austerlitz battlefield.

Panský dvůr is a former fortress and former military hospital. At the beginning of the Battle of Austerlitz, an ambulance unit of a French division was transferred to Jiříkovice and housed in the farm buildings of Panský dvůr. The bell tower of Jiříkovice is considered a witness to the fighting and was declared a cultural monument of the Czech Republic in 1996.

Culture and everyday life

The traditional Jiříkovské hody is a folklore event featuring folk music and folk traditions. The Jiříkovice sports hall can be rented by interested parties; reservations are arranged by telephone.
