Dobré Pole: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

A special natural area of Dobré Pole is the protected natural monument Slanisko Dobré Pole. It protects inland salt meadows with sea aster (Tripolium pannonicum), slender hare’s-ear (Bupleurum tenuissimum), the salt-tolerant plant sivěnka přímořská (Glaux maritima), Bessarabian dandelion (Taraxacum bessarabicum), the dung beetle Aphodius plagiatus, the marsh grasshopper Aiolopus thalassinus and the wolf spider Pardosa maisa, as well as other significant and rare plant and animal species, including specially protected species.

Nature

In the northeast of the Dobré Pole municipal area, the hilly landscape extends into the national natural monument Dunajovické kopce, which protects many rare organisms. From there, it offers a special view of Pálava; from the ridge, views extend in all directions. Liščí kopec, a hill, is also located in the vicinity of Dobré Pole.

Culture and townscape

The single-nave early Baroque Church of St. Cecilia (“kostel sv. Cecílie”) in Dobré Pole was created by expanding a chapel originally built in 1653. In front of its entrance façade stands a late Classicist stone cross with a relief of Our Lady of Sorrows dating from 1835. A wayside niche chapel in the fields is another of Dobré Pole’s sights.

In the vicinity of Dobré Pole are Fünfkirchen Château as a château, Dívčí Hrady as a ruin site, Falkenstein Ruins as a ruin site, Pálava as a mountain, Obora as a mountain and Südmährerkreuz as a shrine. Mikulov Castle Park, a park, is also located in the surrounding area.

Winegrowing and connections

Dobré Pole has bus and rail connections. The municipality is traditionally agricultural and shaped by winegrowing. Its wine cellars are located mainly behind the railway station and in the locality of “Za Vedrovým”.
