Morkůvky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Hrádek Nature Reserve lies within the cadastral area of Morkůvky and protects forest-steppe plants with naturally preserved populations of numerous protected plant species.

Culture and History

The Hrádek archaeological site in Morkůvky lies near the Hrádek Nature Reserve and still features preserved ramparts and ditches. A free-standing bell tower from the 18th century stands above Morkůvky’s small village square. The triangular wayside cross in Morkůvky is listed in the state heritage register of the Czech Republic under number 1575.

The Museum of Lieutenant General František Peřina was established in the building of a former kindergarten and commemorates a legendary pilot of the Second World War. Visits to the museum must be arranged in advance.

The Vavřinecké krojované hody festival takes place every year on the third Sunday in August.

Wine and Cycling Route

The Velkopavlovická Wine Trail passes through Morkůvky. In Morkůvky, it features a rest area with a reconstructed historic wine press, where cyclists can stop near the village centre.
