Hustopeče: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A distinctive feature of Hustopeče is the Hustopečské mandloňové sady almond orchards: they are unique both in the Czech Republic and throughout Central Europe. A car park for the Hustopečské mandloňové sady is located on Šafaříkova Street.

Nature

The Vyhlídka Altenberk viewpoint offers views of Hustopeče and Pálava. It was created in 2020 from an old diving training pool and lies directly on the route from the municipal cemetery to the almond orchards and the observation tower.

Paths and Orientation

The approximately 2 km-long educational trail “Masaryk a Hustopeče” leads through Hustopeče and includes seven stops at significant places connected with the life and family of the first Czechoslovak president, T. G. Masaryk. The educational trail begins on the main road near the bus station, directly in front of the cinema building.

Culture

The U Synků House on Hustopeče’s main square is considered the best-preserved example of bourgeois Renaissance architecture. Střelnice is one of the oldest preserved buildings in Hustopeče. Its exhibition includes interactive applications and play elements for children and focuses on the history of Střelnice, the city’s urban development and viticulture.

The admission ticket to the Městské muzeum a galerie Hustopeče includes admission to the exhibition on the city’s history and to the gallery. The Chapel of St. Roch is located in a woodland park with a natural amphitheatre.

Culinary Experiences

Many wine cellars in Hustopeče are open to the public. Mandlárna Hustopeče offers almond-based coffee specialities, desserts, ice cream, savoury dishes and the Mandlovka almond liqueur.

At the Slavnosti mandloní a vína, visitors can walk through blossoming almond orchards and vineyards, taste Moravian wines and almond specialities, and visit the open wine cellars of local winemakers.
