Brod nad Dyjí lies on the southwestern shore of the Nové Mlýny reservoirs. Part of its cadastral area is located in the Dyje floodplain.

North of Brod nad Dyjí, the Ptačí Peninsula extends into the upper Mušov Reservoir. It is a valuable ornithological area. The part of the Dunajovické kopce National Nature Monument that extends into the municipality of Brod nad Dyjí offers views in all directions from the ridge.

Paths and Landscape

The Mikulov Wine Educational Trail passes through Brod nad Dyjí and is part of the Moravian Wine Educational Trails. The route around the Nové Mlýny reservoirs runs mostly along paved and easily accessible paths.

Culture and History

The parish church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Brod nad Dyjí dates from 1770; it is associated with a pilgrimage to Saint John of Nepomuk on 16 May.

House No. 83 is one of the protected local monuments of Brod nad Dyjí. The structure Boží muka s kaplí combines a wayside shrine from the late 18th century with a chapel from the first half of the 19th century. The main cross in the cemetery of Brod nad Dyjí is a stone cross from 1906 and a prominent feature of the cemetery.
