Brumovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Brumovice is a settlement of colonial origin dating from the mid-13th century. To this day, historical monuments, Moravian wine trails and vibrant local traditions come together here to create a diverse travel destination.

Culture

Brumovice is home to the Church of Saint Anthony of Padua. It is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The single-nave building is late Baroque and was built in 1784 by extending an older Baroque chapel dating from 1716.

Jan Herben was born in Brumovice on 7 May 1857.

Activities

Brumovice is located on the 150 km-long Velkopavlovická Wine Trail, which leads through vineyards and along lanes lined with open wine cellars. Two Moravian wine trails pass through the village. The Moravská Wine Trail running through Brumovice passes through all wine-growing regions of southeastern Moravia and forms the backbone of the Moravian wine trail network.

A signposted cycle route also passes through the village: the “Stezka Velkopavlovickem – krajem modrých hor” cycle route runs from Kobylí via Brumovice and Morkůvky to Klobouky.

Traditions

The Hody celebrations in Brumovice include a costumed procession through the village, the traditional Brumovická zavádka and a tasting of wine from Brumovice.
