Vrbice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Chapel of “Our Lady – Mediatrix of All Graces” gives Vrbice a special cultural significance. It was built in 1949, and its picturesque decoration was created by Alois Martan. The chapel was extensively reconstructed in 2012. The chapel’s pilgrimage takes place on May 8.

Culture

Local customs take place in the park around the chapel in Vrbice. These include erecting a maypole, commemorating the burning of Master Jan Hus, and decorating a Christmas tree. At Easter, boys and girls walk through the village of Vrbice with wooden rattles.

Hiking and Cycling

Marked cycle route No. 1068, Strakonice–Vacov, runs through Vrbice. The blue hiking trail “Klostermannova cesta” also passes through the village, running from Volyně via Javorník to Kašperské Hory.

The “Krajem pod Javorníkem” excursion route includes Vrbice as one of its stages. It is accessible on foot and for experienced cyclists.

Landscape and Surroundings

The landscape around Vrbice offers interesting views of the Boubín, Bobík and Javorník elevations. The Rohanov swimming pool and campsite are located in the vicinity of Vrbice.
