Radošovice: Holiday apartments and houses

Radošovice combines rocks and a river landscape with a small climbing area: Behind Radošovice, the Radošovické skály lie along the Strakonice–Volyně railway line. At Radošovické Podskalí, the Volyňka River forms a romantic valley together with the surrounding rocks.

Activities

The Radošovické skály feature a vertical wall with around twenty routes of moderate difficulty. In the western part of the Radošovice area, a designated cycle path runs along the Volyňka between Strakonice and Volyně.

Transport connections

The Radošovické skály can be reached from Radošovice railway station or Přední Zborovice railway station. Radošovice has a railway stop in the southern part of the municipality on the Strakonice–Volary line. From Strakonice, Radošovice can be reached by the train known as “Volyňka”, on foot or by bicycle via the Volyňka cycle path.

Culture

The farm complex No. 9, including its ramparts and the site of the former fortress, is registered as an immovable cultural monument under number 15583/3-4342. The site of the former fortress is a mound approximately 70 m in diameter, surrounded by a wall; traces of a rampart can be seen in places beneath the masonry.

The late Gothic granary is the most valuable part of farm complex No. 9. Its lower section has been dendrochronologically dated to the period shortly after the middle of the 15th century. Radošovice near Strakonice belonged to the Knights Hospitaller of Strakonice from 1243 until the end of the 18th century.
