East of Svinětice there is a complex of ponds. It includes Rozboud, Kačírek and Záhorský rybník; there is also a bathing area there.

Nature

A route reaches Svinětice via pond dams and field paths offering views of the surrounding landscape. From Svinětice, it continues along the dam to the Záhorský rybník nature reserve.

Paths

A yellow-marked hiking trail leads from Útěšov through Svinětice. The yellow hiking trail continues along the Blanice and the aforementioned ponds towards Vodňany.

The combined cycling and hiking route “Kdyby byl Bavorov…” also passes through Svinětice and is designated as an 18-km circular route. Along the route, yellow-marked trails lead from Svinětice onwards to Útěšov (3 km) and Štětín (5 km). A cycling alternative from Svinětice follows the yellow-marked route for 4 km to Záhorský rybník and Kemp Pražák. On the outskirts of Svinětice, the route meets yellow tourist trail markings.

Culture

A chapel with a brick bell tower stands in the village square of Svinětice. Its onion-shaped roof sits above a vaulted entrance. There is also a richly decorated niche chapel on the outskirts of the village.

Getting There

No České dráhy trains stop at Svinětice railway station.

Nihošovice, Nihošovice, Mnichov, Dolní Porící, Sousedovice, Chrášťovice, Novosedly, Tchořovice and Strašice also provide points of reference for further orientation in the region.
