Probulov: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Cycle Route 1157 between Krsice and Staré Sedlo runs through Probulov. The area of Probulov also extends into the “Údolí Otavy a Vltavy” bird protection area.

The village has a general store called “Prodejna BALA”. Its product range includes staple foods, vegetables, fruit, baked goods, beverages, drugstore products, frozen goods, pet food and tobacco products.

Nature and Landscape

There are three small, unnamed ponds on the Probulovský stream. The mountains Chlum, Hrby and Jenšovice are located around Probulov; the Zvíkovec mountain lies in the wider regional area.

Culture and History

Northeast of Probulov, on Road III/12118, lies the protected immovable cultural monument “Kamenný podstavec s křížem”.

Probulov’s tourist attractions include a burial site dating from the La Tène period and the chapel near the French graves.

The historical site “Lety u Písku. Památník holokaustu Romů a Sintů v Čechách” is located in the vicinity of Probulov. The area also includes “Hrad Zvíkov” Castle and the Church of Svatý Jan. The “Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast” ruins are located in the wider regional area.

Water and Leisure

There are several campsites at the Orlík Reservoir; most of the beaches there are sandy or gravelly. Boats and pedal boats can be rented at several locations.
