Lažiště: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Lažiště lies on the edge of the Šumava and at the transition to the Boubínská hornatina. From here, there are views of Boubín.

Townscape and history

Lažiště has been designated a village heritage zone due to its urban structure and preserved architectural values. The village contains very old log buildings and more recent masonry farmsteads; Lažiště also preserves folk buildings of the Šumava foothills of the granary-house type. The Church of St. Nicholas in Lažiště is originally a Romanesque church from the 13th century.

A sports and leisure complex is located in the immediate vicinity of Lažiště for seasonal active leisure activities. The sports and leisure complex near Lažiště offers two tennis courts for rent at CZK 120 per court per hour, as well as a training football pitch with artificial turf for rent.

Routes and events

The regional route “Krajem Mistra Jana Husa” is a driving excursion route that begins in Husinec. It crosses the Němčský potok and then climbs uphill to Lažiště. On the way to Lažiště, the Chapel of St. Vojtěch stands above a spring.

The traditional municipal public event “Farewell to Summer” was announced for Saturday, 29 August 2026, from 3 p.m. at the Lažiště sports complex, featuring barbecues, brass band music, and activities for families, children, and seniors.
