Zdíkov: Apartments and Holiday Homes

Zdíkov Chateau was created by renovating an older stone Renaissance fortress, first mentioned in 1666; at that time, the estate belonged to the Malovcové family. Today, it serves as a hotel.

Culture

The Zdíkov Chateau complex, including the park, is a protected monument. The Church of St. Ludmila was built in 1921–1922 in the late Art Nouveau style and is also a protected monument. An altarpiece depicting Saint Ludmila and Saint Wenceslas was created in 1922 by the painter and restorer Josef Hübsch.

Nature

The Zdíkov chateau park covers six hectares and includes a wetland. The Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary on Liz is located in the chateau forest park of Zdíkov. The present Romantic-style chapel was built in 1852 next to a spring reputed to have miraculous powers by Franz Anton, Count Thun-Hohenstein. A forest avenue leads from the Chapel of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary on Liz to the forester’s lodge on Liz.

Transport

For the summer season, DS Cyklotrans is designated in Zdíkov as a transport system for tourists and cycling tourists.
