Experiences

At Hosín Airport, the Aeroclub České Budějovice offers powered flights and gliding. Skydiving and pilot training are also offered there, including flying ultralight aircraft. Hosín Airport offers short flights of 20 minutes, longer flights of 40 to 60 minutes, as well as individual flights along a route of your choice.

Culture and history

The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Hosín was built as a pseudo-Romanesque church, completed and consecrated in September 1900. On its eastern side, it incorporates the original Romanesque church as a side chapel. Its former Romanesque sacristy preserves valuable frescoes dating from around 1340. Its square church tower rises 36 metres from the corner of the crossing.

Nature

Hosínské Orty extend along the boundary of the municipalities of Hosín, Borek and Hrdějovice near České Budějovice and form a unique tunnel labyrinth created by former kaolin mining. Hosínské Orty are one of the most important wintering sites for bats and horseshoe bats in South Bohemia. For safety reasons, the underground system is officially inaccessible; numerous entrances are closed.

Landscape

Between Hosín and Hrdějovice, the U Borovice lookout point offers a view over the entire city of České Budějovice. Cycle route 1054 runs along the road next to the U Borovice lookout point.
