Above the right bank of the Vltava lies the Hradec u Dobřejovic hillfort. Three parallel stone ramparts, up to 1 metre high, enclose an area of approximately 1 hectare; the two outer ramparts are additionally separated by a ditch. The site is inaccessible because of the new Poněšice game reserve.

Culture and history

The chapel in Dobřejovice was built between 1870 and 1871 and is dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk. It was consecrated on 29 May 1871 during the Whitsun festival.

The former school building in Dobřejovice dates from 1901; today, it partly houses an inn and partly a library. The Dobřejovice–U Obrázku archaeological site also contains ten burial mounds that have not been identified in greater detail.
