Lejčkov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Cycle route 1182 from Pacov to Chýnovská jeskyně passes through Lejčkov. The 17.3-kilometre route runs along Class III roads.

History and Remembrance

The oldest surviving written reference to Lejčkov is “Dvorce Lejčkovské”, documented in 1519. Historically, Lejčkov was settled by so-called Svobodníci, who retained their personal freedom and the independence of their property. There were also two farmsteads in Lejčkov owned by families bearing the name Lejčko.

A memorial to the fallen stands at the site of houses that were burned down. A commemorative plaque lists the names of all those killed – 23 men and one woman.

Nature and Landscape

A protected sycamore maple stands in the cadastral area of Lejčkov. The landscape feature K Doubravě [Radenín-Bítov], classified as a mountain, lies in the vicinity of the village; the landscape features Vrchy, Hora and Tlučin, also classified as mountains, are located there as well.

The Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene in Lejčkov dates from 1820. It fell into disrepair until 1990, before being restored in the 1990s. The plot of land with the chapel is privately owned.
