Zálší: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Zálší Château is a protected immovable cultural monument at house number 1. Architecturally, the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary forms part of the château; it includes the Chapel of Saint Wenceslas. Late Gothic, Renaissance sgraffito and Baroque plasterwork were found during an examination of the masonry.

Culture and Villagescape

In the southern part of Zálší, Mitrovský Château borders the eastern side of the village square. The Neo-Romanesque Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk stands at the southern end of the square.

Water and Rural Heritage

Two ponds lie north of the village square. In the cadastral area of Zálší, below the dam of Betlém Pond, stands the rural mill complex of Betlém Watermill.

The equipment at Betlém Watermill has been preserved, although not in its original location. The water wheel is missing, but the millrace has also been preserved.

Zálší is one of the villages in the Veselská Blata group, where many farmsteads have retained their original form.

Cycling

The “In the Footsteps of Peasant Baroque” cycling route passes through Zálší. After passing through Zálší, the route connects with Cycling Route 1133 near a pond.
