Ceraz: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

From Soběslav, Čeraz is listed as the first stop on cycle route 1136. The small village combines natural features with visible village and cultural details.

Nature

The cadastral area of Čeraz belongs to the Lužnice protected area. This protected area preserves habitats of rare and endangered species, including the thick-shelled river mussel (Unio crassus), the weatherfish (Misgurnus fossilis) and the Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra).

The terrain point U Kamene [Dráchov], classified as a hill, is located in the vicinity of Čeraz. The terrain points Hůrka and Hora, classified as mountains, are also located nearby. In the wider regional surroundings of Čeraz lies the terrain point Podstupský vrch, classified as a mountain.

Activities and Village

There is a pond and a chapel in the village square of Čeraz; both are highlighted as stops on a regional cycling tour. Čeraz also has several painted buildings.

Culture and History

By May 2026, the Chapel of the Most Holy Trinity in Čeraz had been successfully reconstructed. The restored chapel partly contains the original furnishings, as well as paintings and sculptures donated by local residents.

In the Middle Ages, the Čejnov Mill belonged to the village of Čeraz. It is located in the cadastral area of Čeraz in the Lužnice meanders below Čeraz and can be accessed by prior arrangement.
