Dražičky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Today, a yellow-marked hiking trail from Tábor to Příběnice follows the historic route via Dražičky, with minor modifications. The “Peninsula between the Lužnice and the Lužnice” route also leads via Slapy and Dražičky onwards to Příběnice.

History

Dražičky is first mentioned in the surviving archives in 1379. In the 14th century, Dražičky belonged to the Příběnice estate. The fortress of Dražičky was built between 1565 and 1589. It was later demolished and probably replaced by a manor house in the 17th century.

Village Square and Chapel

The chapel stands on the village square in the centre of Dražičky. Its sandstone portal bears the year 1841 on the keystone. The chapel on the village square was reconstructed in 2006–2007.

Culture and Heritage

The historic character of Dražičky also includes the Široká alej barrow cemetery in Dražičky, also known as the “V rybníčkách” burial ground. It comprises 91 burial mounds.

Trails and Nature

Cycling is prohibited on the hiking trail from Tábor to Příběnice. In the surrounding natural area, the Natura 2000 site “Údolí Lužnice a Vlásenického potoka” protects ravine and slope forests of the Tilio-Acerion alliance, chasmophytic vegetation of siliceous rocky slopes, and oak-hornbeam forests of the Galio-Carpinetum association.
