Culture and History

Buzická tvrz is closed; admission is only possible by prior arrangement. The complex has retained mainly a residential tower, a palace, parts of the fortification walls, ramparts and remnants of a moat.

In Buzice, a Baroque bridge spans the Lomnice. It has two arches and a niche chapel; a cycle path and the yellow-marked hiking trail from Blatná to Myštice also cross it. Southeast of Buzice lies the historic stone bridge over the Lomnice, which is an architecturally significant structure.

In the wider regional surroundings of Buzice are the site known as the “Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast”, considered a ruin, the “Hrad Zvíkov” castle, the historic site “Lety u Písku. Památník holokaustu Romů a Sintů v Čechách” and the “Svatý Jan” church.

Nature and Trails

The Buzice area has designated hiking trails, cycling routes and a bridleway. Buzický rybník covers 40.3 hectares and is fed by the Lomnice and the Mračovský potok. You can walk along its dam and southern shore.

In the wider regional surroundings of Buzice are Chlum, a mountain, and Vinice, a mountain. In the immediate vicinity of Buzice are V Remízku, a hill, and Zbuzy, a hill.

At the beginning of the village square, Buzice has an operational bus stop with a shelter.
