Culture and history

In Čejetice, the Church of Saint Gall has stood near the Otava since the mid-13th century. Fragments of wall paintings dating from the third quarter of the 14th century were discovered inside. Part of a Passion cycle from the time of Charles IV was also uncovered on the northern side of the nave.

Skupův koutek is freely accessible in the corridor of the former school in Mladějovice. In Sudoměř, the 16-metre-high granite monument Památník bitvy u Sudoměře commemorates the Battle of Sudoměř in 1420. Sudoměř lies 10 km east of Strakonice, belongs to the municipality of Čejetice, is accessible year-round, is free of charge and can be reached via several parking spaces.

Nature and activities

The Čejetice sports and leisure complex is located near the Otava and also welcomes passing water tourists. Bicycles can be rented there for a fee.

The CT1045 cycling route runs through Čejetice to Sudoměř. The cycling tour “Na kole krajinou rybníků” also passes through Čejetice and Sudoměř, among other places. The 38 km-long tour is easy, suitable for all types of bicycles and suitable for families with small children.

The Obecní rybník pond, with a small island, is located on the village square in Čejetice. Fish harvesting takes place there.

Brewery and village life

The serving area of Pivovar Čejetice is connected directly to the CK tanks via a beer line. The brewery invites visitors to enjoy beer there. The Čejetice cultural centre, house number 155, provides space for a wide range of cultural events organised by the municipality of Čejetice and local associations.
