Únice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Únice has a long history: the first historical mention dates back to January 22, 1308. On that day, Bavor III of Strakonice donated the village to the Order of Knights of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem. The donation included Únice along with the adjacent meadows, fields, and ponds.
History and Villagescape
The village district of Hubenov was first mentioned in writing in 1345. Únice is laid out as a dispersed settlement along a road. The northern part of Únice ends at an irregular triangular village square.
Near the largest farmstead in Únice stands a small bell tower with a pyramid-shaped roof. An iron cross stands next to the bell tower. At the edge of the village of Únice, roadside shrines stand along the road.
Landscape
Březový vrch, at 570.8 m above sea level, is considered a significant natural asset. It will remain an undeveloped, forested natural area suitable for recreation. The lookout point on Březový vrch offers views over the gently rolling landscape in which Únice is situated.
Geographical Location
Road III/13911 connects Únice and Hubenov to the national road network from Strakonice and continues on to Třebohostice.
