In Dřešín, nature observation begins at Chvalšovické pastviny. They comprise overgrown pasture areas with a mosaic-like structure of meadow and spring communities, as well as numerous valuable and endangered meadow and marsh plants. Twenty-nine bird species, six species of small mammals and six species of larger mammals have been recorded at Chvalšovické pastviny. In the municipality of Dřešín, the floodplains of the Peklov stream are designated as a significant landscape feature.

Nature

When planning a trip, landscape structure, plant occurrences and animal species can be considered as different nature-related topics. Reading this information side by side provides different perspectives on areas, ecological communities and the recorded wildlife. The floodplains of the Peklov add another distinct landscape area within the municipality. This means that the nature topic brings together the structure of the pasture areas, the species recorded there and the designated landscape feature.

Events and Activities

Fishing is possible at Lepů Pond, also known as Pelich. The Chvalšovice–Vacovice cycle path is designated as a recreational cycling route. Fishing and cycling can therefore be considered separately as different types of activity.

At the pond, a single possible activity thus stands alongside a designated recreational cycling route. The events, in turn, have their own focuses: Šumavský den hasičů combines firefighting sport with an event for those interested, while the accordion gathering is musically oriented. These differences make the information comparable by activity, sport and music without combining it into a single programme.

Šumavský den hasičů is a traditional event in Dřešín for children and has been held there since 2011. Since 2014, Šumavský den hasičů has also been aimed at adult firefighters. Everyone interested in firefighting sport is invited to Šumavský den hasičů. Another event is the accordion gathering “Setkání harmonikářů na Podlesí”, organised by SDH Dřešín since 2009. Firefighting sport and accordion music can be considered as separate event topics when planning a trip.

When choosing a holiday apartment in Dřešín, the accommodation pages present travel dates, room category and cancellation conditions as separate pieces of information. For your own selection, they therefore provide three distinct reference points: the period, the arrangement of the rooms and the terms of the offer.
