Předmíř: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The northern part of the Předmíř municipal area borders directly on the Brdy Mountains. When completely filled, Metelský Pond covers 51 hectares.

Nature and Water

The Metelský Stream flows into the Lomnice in Předmíř. Divák Pond is one of several ponds along the course of the Metelský Stream and the Lomnice in Předmíř. Předmíř is also home to the regional biocentre RBC 855 “Metelské rybníky”; the regional biocorridor RBK 274 connects Metelské rybníky and Zahorčice.

The Předmíř lime tree is classified as a solitary tree and protected as a natural monument. It was first designated as a protected tree on 5 July 2001.

Pastvina u Zahorčic, a protected natural monument, lies in the surroundings of Předmíř. The area is designated as a Natura 2000 site with purple moor-grass meadows on calcareous, peaty or loamy-clayey soils. It comprises the remains of a complex of intermittently wet pastures with rare and endangered plant and animal species.

Cycling and Landscape

Cycle Route 1063 passes through Předmíř, running from Zámlyní via Předmíř to Zahorčice and Lnáře. The landscape around Předmíř is characterised by ponds, meadows and wooded islands, making it suitable for walking and cycling.
