Landscape and Nature
In the southern part of Truskovice, there is a group of small ponds around the Malovický potok stream and below Libějovický vrch hill. From the 588-metre-high Pohořelec, there are views of blossoming orchards and the Šumava peaks of Boubín, Bobík, Libínské sedlo and Knížecí stolec.
The area surrounding Truskovice is part of the Libějovicko-Lomecko protected landscape monument zone. In summer, it is possible to swim in natural bodies of water in Truskovice.

Transport
Public transport provides regular connections from Truskovice to Netolice and Vodňany. Truskovice has no railway connection; the railway station in Vodňany is 5 km from Truskovice.
Culture and History
The first surviving written mention of Truskovice dates from 1274. Several examples of vernacular architecture have been preserved in Truskovice. On the outskirts of Truskovice stands a niche chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk.
The pilgrimage Church of the Name of the Virgin Mary at Lomec lies southeast of Truskovice. The village square is home to the Chapel of Saint Florian, a building in the folk Baroque style dating from 1821. The Staročeská konopická festival is held regularly in Truskovice.
Festivals and Regional Produce
In the Chelčicko-Lhenicko microregion, flower festivals are held in May, while fruit festivals take place in October and November; these fruit festivals include fruit growers’ markets and competitions for the apple, slivovitz, spirits and fruit speciality of the year.
