Štěkeň: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Losy of Losimthal acquired Štěkeň in 1648 and built an early Baroque château on the site of an older residence.

Culture and History

Guided tours with explanations are available at Štěkeň Château. Karel Klostermann died on 16 July 1923 shortly after 1 p.m. at Štěkeň Château. The Church of St Nicholas in Štěkeň is part of an immovable cultural monument.

The Klostermannova educational trail around Štěkeň is a circular route approximately 7.5 km long with seven stops. It begins in Štěkeň near the château at house no. 75.

An easy cycling tour along the Otava Cycling Route (OCC) leads to Štěkeň. At Štěkeňský jez, the weir is used for recreational boat traffic.
